Hello and welcome here. My name is Sophie Domingues and I’m a French native 29-year-old girl. I have been living and working in Barcelona (Spain) for the last 7 years. On this page, you’ll find information on me, mostly in regards to work and personal interests. Feel free to browse around!

I am a PhD in Medicine from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, specialized in Neurogenetics.  I did my doctoral thesis in the Neurovascular Research Laboratory of the Research Institute of the Vall d’Hebron Hospital.

I’ve worked in several countries (France, USA, Spain), in six different laboratories, and in several fields such as pharmacology, environment, immunology, genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology, oncology, cardiovascular and neurovascular diseases.

I have published more than 20 articles in high standard peer-reviewed scientific journals and I have presented my work at several international conferences.

I currently work as a Regulatory Affairs Officer and Medical Writer at a small consulting firm in Barcelona, called Regulatory Pharma Net.

In 2008, I co-founded Koonec, a translation company specialized in scientific and medical translation, and currently work there as scientific director.
